Benjamin Chang
I'm a senior at Harvard College studying Chemical and Physical Biology and Computer Science, with a focus on synthetic biology and machine learning.
I aspire to develop technologies to engineer and understand biology. Outside of the lab, you can find me reading sci-fi, thinking about cheesy bread, or taking astrophotos!
I'm interested in using synthetic biology and machine learning to help people and the planet! Trying to realize this vision through research and projects.
Senior at Harvard
I'm a senior at Harvard pursuing a double A.B. in Chemical and Physical Biology and Computer Science. I'm privileged to have been advised by Jim Collins in the MIT Collins Lab and Ming-Ru Wu in the Harvard Lab for Synthetic Immunity.
- Currently working in the Collins Lab to develop RNA circuits for mammalian synthetic biology
- Researcher at the Lab for Synthetic Immunity to create gene circuits that target cancer mutations
- Interned at CellFE Biotech to develop a platform for gene therapies using CRISPR and synthetic receptors
- Founded Harvard OpenBio Laboratory, President of Harvard-Radcliffe Asian American Association
- Awarded Rhodes Scholarship, New Science Fellowship, Emergent Ventures Grant, HBS Technology Fellowship
